How much does a carpool ride cost?

This depends on how many children are in the carpool and the distance. But the cost can be split between families!

How do I schedule a carpool ride?

You can call us so we can do it for you or you can do it through our app.

Can my carpool ride be recurring?

Yes, you can book recurring rides or a one time carpool.

Can you drop off and pick up at multiple locations?

Yes, but the riders have to have one location in common. Either all passengers are picked up at the same place, dropped off at the same place or picked up and dropped off as the same place

Why drive for us?

You will always know who you are driving ahead of time, most rides are scheduled so you can plan your day and we PAY more than our competitors!

Does Kidault Kar perform background checks?

Fingerprint enabled background checks are performed by the TLC which is why we require all our drivers have TLC licenses. Kidault Kar performs an additional DMV check when you request to be a driver.

What is an In-Crowder?

In-Crowder’s are what we call our trained and vetted drivers.

What are the requirements to be an In-Crowder?

All drivers must have a valid TLC driver’s and vehicle license. Drivers must provide proof of insurance and registration. Drivers must have a clean driving record. We require all drivers to be at least 24 years of age.

What type of vehicles do you accept?

We accept sedans, minivans and SUV’s.

Am I an employee or an Independent Contractor?

As an In-crowder you will be an independent contractor which gives you the flexibility of working when you want.

How will I be paid?

Our In-crowders are paid once a week via direct deposit.

Cleaning Fees

Riders are responsible for damage to the interior or exterior of a vehicle caused by incidents such as vomiting or food spills. Cleaning fees are assessed and charged according to the extent of damage.” If your driver shows that you left a mess in their car, you’ll receive an email from Kidault detailing the extra charge.

 

Cleaning fees are usually between $20 and $200 and there are 4 levels of severity that you can be charged with.

 

1. Damage that requires vacuuming or simple cleaning (e.g. small messes, food or drink spills) is charged $20.

 

2. Vomit or spills on the exterior of a vehicle are charged $40.

 

3. Vomit and larger food or beverage spills on fabric or other hard-to-clean surfaces inside a vehicle or car seat typically require detailing and are charged $100.

 

4. Significant amounts of bodily fluids (e.g. urine, blood, or vomit) on the vehicle’s interior  or car seat or messes that require cleaning between the window and door are charged $200.

Are your car seats safe?

Our car seats are NCAP crash tested and is designed to safely harness children from 5lbs -120lbs.

What are your hours?

Kidault Kar is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Can adults use Kidault Kar?

Of course! Kidault means Kid and Adult. We specialize in giving extra care to anyone who rides with us.

Can my child eat in the vehicle?

Sorry, eating is not allowed especially in the car seats. Riders may have allergies and we want to avoid a trip to the hospital.

What is an In-Crowder?

In-Crowder’s are what we call our trained and vetted drivers.

Can I bring my own car seat?

Of Course! Because there are thousands of car seats on the market, please be sure you know how to install your car seat correctly. If our driver feels that the installation is not safe, she will request that you use our car seats.

Can I cancel?

If you are using our on-demand “Ride Now” service, you have 5 minutes to cancel without being charged. After 5 minutes, your card will be charged the cancellation fee. For scheduled rides, if you book within 3 hours of the scheduled pickup time, you have 15 minutes to cancel the ride without being charged. Even if a driver accepts the ride, you still have 15 minutes to cancel the request.

How can my child identify the driver?

In the app you will see a picture of the driver and vehicle as well as the driver’s name. The driver’s cars will either have an orange flag with the name Kidault Kar or stickers on the car saying Kidault Kar.

Will I be charged per child?

No, you will be charged based on time and distance unless you are requesting additional car seats and that will be $9 per additional car seat.

Do you have surge pricing?

No!

How are fares calculated?

Fares are based on time and distance. The estimated fare can be viewed as soon as you enter the pickup and drop off locations. Once the ride is complete the you will receive an email of the complete breakdown of fares

How do I pay for my rides?

We charge the credit card you have on file with us. Your card will be charged as soon as the ride is over.

What if there is an accident?

In the event of an accident, our In-crowders are required to pull over, call the police, and our live support team. We will contact parents and let them know the next steps.

Do you inspect your vehicles?

Vehicles are inspected every quarter by a certified NYS inspection station and must pass to continue driving with us.

Why should I trust you with my loved ones?

Three words. LIVE VIDEO MONITORING! You can watch what is happening inside the car during the ride with our live video monitoring feature. Kidault Kar was designed with children in mind. Safety is our number one priority. Our kids use Kidault Kar as well and if we wouldn’t trust the drivers with our children we won’t trust them with your children!
